Profile: Glamorgan Centre for Art & Design Technology
Situated adjacent to the A470, nine miles from Cardiff, at the confluence of the historic Welsh Valleys and the foothills of the Brecon Beacons, the Centre is ideally positioned for study, and sees itself as part of contemporary Welsh culture. Centred in Wales, with its new sense of pride and optimism, a Welsh Assembly, a buoyant, high-tech economy, but with a European and Global outlook, the GCADT sees itself as being very much part of this new Welsh optimism.
This optimism and a sense of being able to seize the future and shape it for yourself is at the heart of the ethos of the Centre.
Dealing with both design and craft issues, the course offers the student the forum to experience all the relevant skills required by the animation industries, while encouraging creativity and original responses to problem-solving activities.
