Workshops for Careers Advisors and Teachers
Are you a careers advisor looking for the latest ‘insider' information on careers within the creative media industries? Find out how to benefit from our workshops.
Skillset runs UK-wide workshops, aimed specifically at careers guidance professionals, on careers in the creative media (broadcast, film, video, interactive media, photo imaging and publishing).
Due to huge demand, we regret that we cannot now support applications for workshops until next financial year (2009-10). |
Our workshops will provide you with:
- a regional overview of careers in the creative media industries;
- access to industry-specific labour market intelligence (LMI) and other valuable resources;
- direct contact with employers and industry specialists, giving you access to insider information and the reality of working in the different sectors.
Want to take part? Here's what you need to know:
- Our workshops take place for a minimum audience of 20 people, so you'll need to persuade other IAG professionals to join you. The best way is to convince the organisation you work for to get in touch with us.
- We run these workshops free of charge and will go virtually anywhere in the UK! Your organisation/group of IAG professionals will need to provide us with a venue and some administrative support for the workshop to happen.
- You'll need to make the request well in advance (at least 12 weeks' notice) and suggest a range of potential dates, so we can accommodate you in our workshop schedule.
- We'll do everything in our power to make your workshop happen, but you should be aware that our resources are limited and, as a result, we are not always able to meet the high level of demand.
- Due to limited resources, we are not able to support careers events at schools, colleges or universities free-of-charge.
