Sefydliadau sy'n darparu gwasanaethau i'r diwydiannau clyweledol, ac sy'n helpu ymarferwyr i weithio gyda'i gilydd.

ASA - Advertising Standards Authority. Falling foul of the ASA's rules can hurt a company's reputation. With a wealth of information, the ASA website will help you make sense of what you can and can't do. The ASA regulates adverts in non-broadcast media, including cinema, new media, press and posters.

BAFTA - The British Academy of Film and Television is a membership organisation that aims to further advance the art and technique of film and television and encourage experimentation and research. BAFTA holds film screenings and discussion meetings for members and publishes a newsletter. Details about their award ceremonies, entry and branch information can be found on their site.

BBFC - The British Board of Film Classification's site contains details of the certification system for film, video and digital media.  There is a searchable database which allows you to find out the classification of a piece of work, and the latest releases are listed along with their certification, and why.

bfi - The British Film Institute's aim is to encourage the arts of film and television, and conserve them in the national interest. The website is a great educational resource as well as providing much information for industry professionals and amateur movie buffs alike. On the site, find details of bfi publication, read reviews and interviews from the excellent Sight & Sound magazine, and check the National Film Theatre listings.

The British Kinematograph Sound and Television Society - this society is concerned with film and post-production, and runs seminars and training courses on subjects including film projection, colour science, special effects and new developments in digital technologies. They publish the journals Image Technology and Cinema Technology.  Details of the society's news, events and training can be found on the site.

BSAC - The British Screen Advisory Council is committed to serving the UK's audio visual industry by enhancing its prosperity, effectiveness and reputation. They provide advice to government and policy-makers on key issues of importance for the industry.

CAP - The Committee of Advertising Practice is the industry body that writes and enforces the British Code of Advertising, Sales Promotion and Direct Marketing.  The CAP website gives free, straightforward advice on how to make sure ads and promotions meet the Code. To anyone working in the advertising industry - be they advertisers, agencies or media owners - the site is invaluable, with advice that could save an ad or campaign from breaching the Code and having to be pulled.

cinematography.com - This site is a must for people involved in camera. A technical site with information on all aspects of cinematography including film stocks and camera equipment. User manuals and technical specifications for all cameras on the site too.

Cinematography Mailing List - Another site similar to above with a vast amount of technical info.

digitalidiots - A website dedicated to digital filmmaking. Noticeboard, advice and articles on all aspects of digital filmmaking from the technical side to pre-production and script.

DFG - The Documentary Filmmakers Group is an organisation offering resources and support to professional and potential documentary filmmakers. It offers comprehensive training, regular events and advice. Each course is taught by established media professsionals.

EUROPRIX.ORG - Europrix showcases the top 15 student multimedia teams in Europe and prize money enables the teams to get exposure and their projects on to the market.

The Lux - The Lux is an international centre for film, video and digital arts and their website details all their activities from screenings to training, equipment hire and facilities. As you'd expect from an arts organisation, their website is quite a visual feast.

The Media Trust - Media Trust work in partnership with the media to meet the communications needs of charities, voluntary organisations and community groups. Their website details their activities from training and advice to volunteering opportunities in the charity sector. Also details of their wholly owned subsidiary 'the community channel'.

New Producers Alliance - This is a support network for independent producers. NPA offers specialised training programmes for filmmakers, ongoing events, networking evenings, a monthly newsletter and free advice services including legal and financial.

Netribution - A brilliant 'European' website set up by 3 individuals in the UK dismayed at the American bias on most film related websites. Site contains interviews with filmmakers, info on funding, contact details for film companies, insider gossip on the industry and a noticeboard, amongst other things. A fantastic resource for filmmakers.

RadioLondon.com - Radio in London has information about radio broadcasters in London. Linking to all the London radio broadcasters websites plus information on training, news and events.

Royal Television Society - Aims to bring together all the disciplines of television by providing a forum for debate on technical, cultural and social implications of the media. Details of events, news and membership available online.

Sohonet - Sohonet is a specialised digital network service, designed to support the media industry requirement for the electronic transfer of film, video and sound content. It deals with leading London facilities providers and producers enabling them to connect to each other via a digital network.

tvcameramen.com - A website for professional cameramen full of interesting articles and interviews. A really useful site for those wanting to get into camera as it has many profiles of camerapeople and how they entered the industry.
