SKILLSET PRESENTS: Sound with Image Masterclass
Friday 28th November / 15.00 – 16.00 / Norwegian Church, Cardiff Bay
As part of the Soundtrack International Film and Music Festival for Wales, Skillset's Director of Film, Janine Marmot, and Producer of the School of Sound, Diane Freeman, will hold a masterclass discussing the function of the soundtrack, the collaborative roles of the sound designer and film music composer, and routes into the industry. They will explore how sound and music change the production, and why an integrated approach can be the best way to achieve the most effective soundtrack.
Skillset will also highlight funding and support opportunities for film freelancers to attend training courses. If you would like to attend this event, please contact Vicky Jones vickyj@skillset.org or call 02920 452 828.

The first Welsh independent production companies to receive funding from the Talent Attraction Scheme have been confirmed as Rondo Media, Green Bay Media and Indus. The companies were selected by an expert panel including senior executives from the BBC, ITV and Channel 4.
The initiative will boost the Welsh broadcast sector by providing financial support to recruit senior producers with existing reputation and connections to bring significant network commissions to Wales. They will also provide training and mentoring for the next wave of Welsh senior production talent.
Jointly funded by Skillset and Creative Business Wales through the support of the Welsh Assembly Government, the scheme is being run in partnership with Pact, BBC, ITV and Channel 4.
