To help you answer all these questions, Skillset has developed a simple checklist called 
Focus on Freelancers to help you examine your existing skills against the skills you will need in the future and allow you to develop a personalised plan.
This Checklist is based on the Occupational Standard: F1 Manage and market yourself as a freelancer. Focus on Freelancers will help you focus on what you need to be doing in order to ensure that you are doing all you can to be a successful freelancer through identifying your current knowledge and skills and highlighting any gaps. Once you have identified the gaps you can start to think about what you need to do about filling in the gaps.
