Runners' world
Working as a Runner is one of the best ways to learn about many of the audio visual industries. It provides excellent entry-level experience, a range of skills, knowledge of how the industry works, contacts, and perhaps an offer of more permanent employment. It should also give you a clearer idea about your possible career choices. The Runner is often the most junior job* in the audio visual industries which involves lots of fetching and carrying - and filling in when and where you are needed.
*The most junior position in the Photo Imaging sector is usually a Trainee/Assistant; however, Runners are sometimes employed for large fashion shoots.
