Skillset has worked closely with regional skills brokerage services and Business Link to ensure that companies in our sector received a mix of general and sector specific support and have accessed as much support from Train to Gain as possible.
The coalition government is continuing support for apprenticeships and for some stand-alone vocational qualifications as part of its adult skills initiatives. It is also reviewing how it delivers business support to ensure it is as effective as possible. New initiatives to support skills for your business are also being considered and we expect details of new programmes in Spring 2011.
