Creative Skillset is passionate about promoting diversity, which remains a key focus within the Creative Industries. Certain groups are still underrepresented within the workforce, as highlighted in our research.
- 6% of the workforce consider themselves to be disabled
- 36% of the creative media workforce are women
- 5.4% of the creative media workforce are from a Black Asian or Minority Ethnic (BAME) background
For the Creative Industries to prosper and provide products that appeal to a wide range of audiences and consumers, we need a diverse workforce and the diverse range of skills that brings.
Diversity is also a key focus of Creative Skillset's work and is woven in to all our projects and funding. Creative Skillset is proud to be a Stonewall Top 100 employer.
