The background to "A Bigger Future"

A Bigger Future is a strategic plan for delivering industry relevant skills in the UK film industry. The result of 12 months research and consultation with the industry - from those involved in script development to those working in exhibition - it is a £50m, 5-year plan.
It is funded by the National Lottery through the UK Film Council, contributions made to the Skills Investment Fund (SIF) from feature films, and additionally-levered sources of finance.
A Bigger Future is a long-term training plan which answers the well articulated needs of the UK film industry. It responds to the aspirations of those wanting to enter the industry, to those in further and higher education on the brink of entering and also those in the industry who throughout their working life expect and need career development and growth.
