The 11th British Independent Film Awards (BIFAs) took place on Sunday 30 November 2008.  The BIFAs celebrate new talent and honour achievement in independently funded filmmaking, and promote British films and filmmaking to the wider public.

Skillset are proud to sponsor one of the awards for the 3rd year running. Sean Bobbitt - Cinematographer on Hunger (pictured) - was this year's deserving recipient of the Best Technical Achievement award.
