About the Film Skills Fund
The Skillset Film Skills Fund is a training fund that was established in April 2004 by Skillset and the UK Film Council to support the delivery of A Bigger Future - the UK Film Skills Strategy.
A Bigger Future is a complete training and education training strategy for the UK film industry that places people and their skills at the heart of the success of our industry. It was developed in partnership by the UK Film Council, Skillset and the film industry. It is being implemented by Skillset and runs for 5 years from April 2004.
The Skillset Film Skills Fund channels investment through organisations to develop, deliver or facilitate film specific training and to individuals to attend training with bursaries. For more detail on our funding priorities, you can also read a list of grants we have made.
