Skillset Screen Academy Network - Grants 2009
The film industry approved the Skillset Screen Academy Network in 2005 as
centres of excellence in training and education. Their courses give students the skills, knowledge and experience needed to pursue careers in the UK film industry. They also deliver courses to develop the skills and knowledge of the current workforce.
A Bigger Future, the UK film skills strategy, a five–year plan launched in 2004, identified the need to establish Screen Academies as one way to ensure we have a highly skilled workforce both now and in the future.
