How is the SIF contribution calculated and collected?

Once your production is in prep, please contact Kristen Platt, SIF Co–ordinator, at kristenp@skillset.org or on 0207 713 9862 with the name of your production, the postal address and a contact telephone number.
A Production Questionnaire can then be sent out to you, along with a copy of the Skills Investment Fund (SIF) Guidelines.
The forms can also be downloaded here in English or Welsh:

Please take the time to complete and return the Production Questionnaire to the SIF Co–ordinator as soon as you can. This will provide accurate information on your project and enable you to be invoiced correctly.
You will then receive a pro–forma invoice for 0.5% of the production’s total budget (in sterling).
Projects which are in receipt of public funding are required to pay the levy as a condition of access to this investment.
Payment to the SIF should be made prior to the first day of principal photography. An invoice will be issued on receipt of payment.
The Skills Investment Fund is managed by Skillset on behalf of the industry and is actively supported by DCMS, the UK Film Council, PACT, the MPA and BECTU.
