Skillset Film Trainee Network - How to become a Host Company

The Skillset Film Trainee Network (SFTN) scheme is looking for production companies to offer work placements to talented trainees. Skillset heavily subsidises the cost of having a trainee and acts as a liaison between the two parties.

Please note the network is only open to companies who are either in scope to pay the Skills Investment Fund(SIF) or who have contributed to it already.

Who can apply?

We are currently accepting applications from companies in the following sectors:

  • Production companies – within scope to pay or have paid the Skills Investment Fund (SIF) levy within the last three years.

The Skillset Film Trainee Scheme was announced by Roy Button, Senior VP & Managing Director, Production, Warner Bros. Productions on 10th June 2008 as part of the Skillset Connects Series.
