Introduction to Multiplatform

Introduction to Multiplatform content creation for Journalists
Edinburgh Skillset Screen and Media Academy
1-22 March 2010

A four part evening course to enable print and broadcast journalist to transfer their media skills to content creation for new multiplatforms.

People no longer consume media in just one medium, which poses both huge challenges and opportunities for Britain's media workers. The age of the single media specialist is disappearing rapidly, and everyone who works in the media - particularly journalists - must think about more than one platform when working with content.

360 degree commissioning has moved from being a buzzword to being a reality.  Over four evening sessions, Introduction to Multiplatform Content Creation for Journalists will provide an overview of the challenges and opportunities that multiplatform working offers and present strategies and skills to navigate and survive as a freelance content creator in the new media landscape.
