The course gives a comprehensive overview of the technical and editorial skills needed to shoot and direct video for broadcast, mobile or the web. Carefully designed practical exercises develop over two days, getting progressively more difficult so you acquire ‘hands on' experience which is constantly reviewed by course tutors.
Based on our acclaimed and hugely popular directing course, it has been significantly updated to reflect new distribution and workflow methods, and the ensuing technical and directing issues these pose. As well as learning how to shoot and record professional quality pictures and sound for crossmedia use, you will also gain an understanding of production requirements including how to transfer footage into an editing package and issues around compression.
