Computer Games Skills Council - Terms of Reference
The Computer Games Skills Council is responsible for delivering on the aims of Skillset in relation to the Computer Games Sector as authorised by the delegated powers of the Skillset Board of Directors and Trustees, and to be responsive to the changing needs of the Computer Games sector. In delivering against these aims the Skills Council is required to:
- 1. Set Skillset's sector strategy for Computer Games on behalf of the Skillset Board of Directors.
- 2. Advocate, lobby and promote Skillset's work and interests within and across the Computer Games sector and within members own companies and organisations.
- 3. Act as expert advisors to the Skillset Board of Directors on issues specifically relating to the context of their sector and advise and input into UK-wide policy and activity.
- 4. Act as a forum for the discussion and receipt of issues raised by the Computer Games sector and respond accordingly.
- 5. Maximise and oversee the use of available resources for the benefit of the sector.
- 6. Prioritise actions within available resources.
- 7. Identify and promote opportunities for co-ordination and co-operation across the sector, and with other aligned sectors.
- 8. Inform the Skillset Board of Directors of opportunities, issues, risks and developments affecting Skillset's engagement with the sector.
- 9. Input into Skillset's overall strategy and performance management through the Chair and Deputy Chair's attendance at annual Council Meetings.
