
BA (Hons) Computer Arts at the University of Abertay
This course focuses strongly on the application of computer artistry in games and electronic entertainment, interactive music and audio, web and interactive design, digital media, film, TV, and animation sectors with students able to specialise to one particular area as the course progresses.
Studio-based activities increase students understanding of the subject and enable them to develop their competence and confidence in artistic and technical skills.
All modules on this course use project-based, creative, problem solving exercises that require detailed research, idea generation and concept development resulting in the creation of a digital art piece using a variety of static, interactive and dynamic media.
Traditional art skills are highly valued and students are encouraged to research and experiment with traditional techniques in the development of their digital artwork. As well as acquiring essential software expertise, students develop presentation and interpersonal skills.
