
Applying for a Screen Bursary
The Screen Bursaries Fund is now open.
Detailed below is the application process and all the forms you need to make an application.
Screen Bursaries offer Training Grants to attend courses in Film and TV, animation, Computer Games* or interactive media industries and Qualifications Bursaries to take film/TV specific qualifications.
*Grants for Computer Games can only be given to residents in London as this money comes from Film London. If you are not a London resident please contact your Regional Screen Agency who may be able to help.
To apply for a Screen Bursary applicants need to:
1. Read the Screen Bursaries Guidelines.These tell you everything you need to know about the scheme and whether or not you are eligible for funding.![]()

2. Complete a Screen Bursaries Application Form. The application form is available to download in MS Word format. Please save it to your computer before completing it electronically.![]()

3. Complete a Skillset Funding Individuals Monitoring Form. This form is not part of your application but provides us with important information which will help us to ensure that our application process is equal and open. The information you provide will be used for monitoring purposes only.

To apply you can either;
a. download the application and monitoring forms listed above, complete them in full and return them to the address shown, or
b. Email all your documents to lauraf@skillset.org
4. If your application is successful you will recieve an offer letter that outlines the terms and conditions of your bursary. The bursary is split into two installments – 80% for the first payment and 20% for the second. The first payment of 80% is paid once we recieve your signed offer letter and bank details.
5. If you've already had a Screen Bursary or Film Futures Bursary and wish to claim the final 20% of your bursary you need to download the evaluation report below and send it back to us to release the final 20% of your bursary.
