Money in Corporate Production

Experienced practitioners - especially in the technical area - can earn a very decent living as a freelance in Corporate. In the Content Production area, it really depends if you are a director of the company or a partner, and how successful the operation is. Producers and Directors can at least match broadcast television earnings of £25,000 to 40,000 plus, and often far outweigh them. In the Administration and Support areas, rates are similar to all areas of audio visual work, with Production Managers for instance earning anything between £800 and £1,000 a week.

When you start to make career decisions, find out as much as possible about the average rates of pay for your areas of interest, whether there is a shortage in that area of work, and what the competition is like.
