Electric Lane offers Keywording Training
Skillset accredited training company Electric Lane is responding to the needs of the picture industry by offering a new course on keywording in January next year. Designed for imaging professionals, the course will help participants achieve consistent keywording informed by industry standards and image buying trends.
Content will include keywording schemas, controlled vocabularies and thesauri, and productive methods of captioning and keywording.
Keywords play a critical role in image retrieval and sales. This course is a chance for picture libraries to get a grip on their keywording and make it more productive.
Electric Lane has been training image professionals since 1998, and works on digital and metadata standards for BAPLA, Pic4Press, IPTC, and UPDIG. .

The Colour of Art - Specialist Digital Training from Electric Lane
Skillset accredited training company Electric Lane is offering a specialist professional course in January for people working with images of art in museums, galleries and image libraries.
‘The Colour of Art' aims to raise awareness of the standards required for successful and productive output of digital images, and give participants ways of assessing existing digital files. The one day hands-on course covers imaging standards, colour management, and checking colour in images of artworks.
Electric Lane has been training image professionals since 1998, and works on digital standards setting bodies like Pic4Press, IPTC, and UPDIG. Trainer Graeme Cookson is known for his accessible presentation and depth of knowledge.

BIPP Academy Courses (throughout the UK)
BIPP run a series of 1 day masterclasses at various locations throughout the UK, where practising BIPP photographers share their skills and expertise from their specialised field. Course topics this year range from portraiture, wedding photography, commercial studio lighting, architecture and fashion through to digital techniques.
