Who works in photo imaging?

The photo imaging industry has a highly skilled and well qualified workforce, compared to the entire UK population of working age.

46% have a degree with 42% of those holding an undergraduate degree or diploma having that qualification in media related subjects.

The workforce is older than that of the audio visual industries as a whole, with an average age of 42. However this is similar to the age profile of the wider economy.

The photo imaging industry has a relatively low proportion of people from minority ethnic groups, compared to both the local populations where the workforce is based and to the wider UK economy. A higher than average proportion of the workforce consider themselves to be disabled, twice that of the economy as a whole.
