
BAPLA Digital Asset Management & Rights Clearance Course
Dates: 25 and 26 March 2010
Cost: £150 for two days
This two day course is aimed at managers, picture researchers and administrators.
The aim is to improve and maximise workflow and your management of digital rights.
Day one: The Digital Asset Management
Topics include how to maintain a productive and efficient workflow, production standards, quality control and health checks, early warning signals on digital images where automation can make you more efficient and save costs.
Working with digital images needs a basic understanding of how colour and digital files work. This is not difficult to learn but will help to maintain a productive and efficient workflow.
Day two: On Rights Clearance
Topics include review of digital licensing models, review of client models for generating income, preferred supplier agreements and price points, what is working and what needs to evolve, strategies for gaining revenue, negotiation skills.
Includes two days training, networking, continental breakfast, light lunch and afternoon tea at the stylish Hoxton Hotel, Shoreditch, London EC2A 3HU.
Limited number of travel grants available to attendees outside of London and also a limited number of bursaries to cover child care costs. Details on application.
