Blueprint for Photo Imaging Preparatory Qualifications

The purpose of a Blueprint is to provide guidance for awarding bodies about the nature of preparatory qualifications that Skillset will support.

Preparatory qualifications aim to prepare learners for entry into employment.

These include:

  • 16+ who wish to work in photo imaging.
  • Career change adults wanting an industry informed qualification.
  • Learners seeking to progress from a leisure qualification

This blueprint aims to highlight and emphasise what employers want from prospective recruits. It offers direction by presenting a range of study topics that are considered appropriate by industry for inclusion in a preparatory qualification, with recommendations for delivery, assessment, and resources.
