Skillset's Foundation Degree Frameworks
The Frameworks are designed as practical toolkits to help universities and colleges develop Foundation Degrees with input from employers and freelancers. They set out industry skills requirements, pointers on what should be covered in the course, information about work-based learning and advice about involving employers in the development of Foundation Degrees.
Skillset has developed sectoral frameworks in the following areas, although these are currently being updated:
Foundation Degree Framework in Broadcast Media Technology
Foundation Degree Framework in Broadcasting and Journalism
Foundation Degree Framework in Radio Production
We have also developed a new Framework for the Photo Imaging Industry
If you are a HE/FE institution developing Foundation Degrees using one of our Frameworks and are looking to receive Skillset's support, then you can use the relevant Alignment Document to map your FD to the framework and submit it to Skillset. Please read the following guidance note:
