Meet the Quality Benchmark for Work-related Learning

If your business or organisation wants to offer learning opportunities to young people and give them their inspiring first taste of working in creative media, the Quality Benchmark will help demonstrate that you meet the required high standard.

Today's learners are tomorrow's workforce. The Diploma in Creative and Media enables teachers to work with experts from industry to equip learners with skills, knowledge and experience that help them make informed choices about their future career.

Almost every creative media organisation and business, including freelancers, has the opportunity to contribute through the provision of work-related learning. This opportunity comes with the responsibility to ensure that what is offered is relevant, of high quality and safe.

For this reason, the Quality Benchmark has been developed to help businesses and organisations like yours ensure that their work-related learning provision achieves the required standard.

You can download the Quality Benchmark here and find out about the five criteria your business needs to meet:

If you meet each of the five points, you may be able to have your work formally recognised by applying for the Quality Badge developed by Learning Outside the Classroom (LOtC). It provides a 'kitemark' demonstrating your excellence in this field to schools, learners and other businesses. Find out more and apply here:

The Quality Benchmark was developed by the Diploma Development Partnership (DDP) and sets out the DDP's recommended minimum standards. The Quality Benchmark will be refined and developed during the second year of Diploma delivery.
