Arts Inform Model Projects
In 2007 Arts Inform worked with teachers and students in London to pilot work based learning opportunities with a range of arts organisations. The model projects support different units of the Diploma.
The pilots were based on Edexcel units but the principles of the projects we have promoted are equally relevant for other awarding bodies.
The resources developed include sample arts partnership plans, schemes of work and tasks and exercises for students and are available on the London Schools Arts Service website.
All of the resources are available to be modified and used by consortia for planning partnerships with local arts organisations.
NESTA Future World of Work Programme
NESTA, the National Endowment for Science Technology and the Arts, has undertaken research into how best to prepare young people for a rapidly changing economy and society.
The Future World of Work programme includes research reports and work-related learning pilots, to examine how businesses in the creative industries, the third sector and rural economy can become more engaged in education in a way that will be mutually beneficial.
Among the pilot projects is a creative project commissioning network in the North West of England. Details of the pilots, research reports and case studies can be found on the NESTA website.
