Preparing to Deliver the Diploma
Creative and Media is one of 17 new Diploma subjects, known as lines of learning, that will be introduced into schools and colleges across England over the next four years.
Regional clusters of schools and colleges, working with their Local Authorities, will be forming partnerships and applying to the Department for Children Schools and Families (DCSF) to deliver the new Diplomas. This application process is called Gateway, and assesses the partnership's readiness to deliver, including their physical and staff resources, their links with local employers and universities, and their plans for collaboration.
These partnerships, known as consortia, will have to provide evidence for each line of learning they apply for. The Creative and Media Diploma Development Partnership has produced guidance and frequently asked questions for consortia applying to teach Creative and Media.
