2002 Studios
2002 Studios was founded by Steven Gurevitz. He owns his own studio in north-west London and specialises in creating library music for radio and television, and providing music education.
2002 Studios installs and builds services for schools and colleges; everything from equipment to bricks and mortar. It designs and runs workshops for high achievers or 'at risk' groups, and offers curriculum based support for GCSE, A-level, AS-level and BTEC courses among others.
The studio also teaches music production skills, film workshops, technical skills and music business studies.
The studio recently worked with Harrow High School in London to develop and deliver an NVQ programme which was an Arts award with music technology, which all the students passed.
The school didn't need to hire staff and the students benefited from being taught by an industry professional, bringing them into contact with the 'real' music industry at an early age.
The industry benefits as the courses are delivered by an industry partner. It will mean more and will reassure the employer assessing the individual.
Eric Angus, deputy of Brent Music said: "The facilities, project management skills and tuition were all of a very high standard and enabled the young participants to achieve a good outcome to the project."
