
Vocational qualifications are changing
The vocational qualifications system is changing to become more responsive to the specific needs of employers.
At a time when skills are more important than ever and the demands on employers are constantly changing, vocational qualifications can help you upskill the workforce, enabling employers to become more competitive and prepare for the future.
Qualifications will be available to learners at a time when employers need them, and flexible enough to fit learners work and lifestyle in order that people get the right skills needed for the job at the right time.
These new vocational qualifications are available on the Qualifications and Curriculum Framework (QCF) which is a new way of recognising skills and qualifications. The use of common titles means employers can instantly tell the difficulty, size and subject matter of any qualification, making it much easier for to know the value of different qualifications.
