About the Radio industry

Radio has never been a 'static' medium; technological developments, the growth of 'multi-skilling' and flexible working practices mean that the industry often seems to be in constant flux. Now it's going through another period of significant change....the changeover from analogue to digital transmission is under way and some commercial companies are joining together. Community radio is showing how it can be a great place to start and can offer a training route for people who want to get in and get on in the world of radio. Read more below about this dynamic and varied sector.
