Radio Skills Development Forum (RSDF)
The Radio Skills Development Forum will identify and promote best practice in training & development across the radio industry; encourage recognition of the industry's skills in a wider context; and advise and guide the work of the Broadcasting Training & Skills Regulator (BTSR), the Radio Academy and Skillset.
This Forum will meet four to six times a year in order to:
- Guide the development of policy, strategy and project development in the radio industry with an emphasis on
- developing talent
- fostering diversity
- encouraging media literacy
- Provide information and market intelligence on current and potential labour trends and training and skills needs.
- Provide a forum for information exchange, discussion, co-ordination and co-operation within the industry and between the industry and skills development providers
- Assist the BTSR and Skillset in achieving proper and effective communication with all parts of the radio industry.

The forum includes representatives from the BBC, commercial and community radio sectors and they represent the interests of both national and regionally based companies.
