Skillset Radio Skills Strategy and Core Offer
In January 2008, Skillset launched a Radio Skills Strategy which was written after we consulted with industry all over the UK.
This Radio Skills Strategy has been developed by Skillset with the support of the Radio Academy and in consultation with the radio industry to help it meet the challenges faced by the industry.
The strategy is intended to:
- identify key shared industry priorities at the same time as recognizing more sector-specific skills needs
- provide a coherent framework to inform education, training & development provision for the radio industry
- offer a basis for developing an action plan to meet industry needs: drawing together existing good practice, effective on-going activities and new initiatives
