About our work
In January 2008, Skillset launched a Radio Skills Strategy which was written after we consulted with industry all over the UK.
The Radio Skills Development Forum, which is a group of representatives from the radio sector brought together by Skillset and the Radio Academy, guided and helped us with this work.
Skillset works with the full range of radio stations from national and local public service broadcasters, to commercial stations and community stations. We also work with voluntary and training organisations that produce radio programmes and offer training.
We work closely with Higher and Further Education providers which offer courses in radio production and technology.
