Skillset operates a comprehensive programme of research about the creative media industries themselves and the training provision available to them. Our research programme is endorsed by industry and managed by Skillset's research and evaluation team:
Catherine Godward - Director of Research and Evaluation
Catherine is in charge of Skillset's Research Strategy and Impact and Evaluation Strategy. In response to demand the programme consists of both regular cross-industry initiatives and ad hoc sector or occupation-specific studies in order to measure the size and shape of the industry, employer and workforce demand for skills, the infrastructure available to respond to need and the impact of skills interventions. This comprises primary and secondary research.

Karen Muir - Research Manager
Karen leads Skillset's work on future demand for skills and a survey of the Feature Film Production Workforce. She also works alongside the wider research team to deliver a programme of both quantitative and qualitative research on skills issues.
