Skills Gaps and Shortages

The Skills Intelligence Network is the means by which Skillset gathers the thoughts of employers on important skills issues in their industries. It provides a platform for employers to voice concerns and issues about:

  • recruitment difficulties;
  • current and future skills needs;
  • the effectiveness of education and training provision; and
  • industry skills and strategy.
The network is based mainly on Skillset's existing network of employer panels, which cover all sectors within the creative media industries. These panels meet on a regular basis and give a representative sample of employers an opportunity to express their concerns. The network also draws intelligence from all the nations and regions within the UK through Skillset's national and regional panels.

The information collected informs Skillset's strategic and project work, and helps us to produce topical, high-interest intelligence briefings for all sectors in the creative media industries. For more information please contact Neil Flintham on 020 7713 9830.
