The Audio Visual Entrepreneurship Development Partnership has been awarded £1.4 million through the European Social Fund's Equal programme, a transnational programme which tests new ways to reduce inequality in the labour market. The overall aim of the project is to explore innovative approaches to supporting individuals from groups currently under-represented in the audio visual industries (women, people with disabilities, ethnic minorities, older people and young people from economically disadvantaged areas) to develop the skills, knowledge and experience they need to develop successful businesses, including self-employment, in the sector.
The project will be delivered by a partnership led by Skillset and UK Film Council www.ukfilmcouncil.org.uk
Together with:
Broadcast and Creative Industries Diversity Network
Media Training North West (MTNW)
National Film & Television School (NFTS)
Producers' Alliance for Cinema and Television (PACT)
The AVE DP will also be working in transnational partnership with Etnische ondernemers in de media in the Netherlands, Pluriel Media in France and Equal Partner HB in Sweden. The Audio Visual Entrepreneurship Development Partnership is part funded by the European Social Fund under the Equal Community Initiative Programme
