Skillset endeavours to ensure that the UK creative media industries have the right people, with the right skills, in the right place, at the right time.
Skillset researches where the skills gaps and shortages exist, we raise funding and then develop and deliver solutions to address these problems. Most importantly, we provide information about the challenges that face the industry and what we need to do to overcome them.
To make sure that the information we provide reaches all the right audiences, Skillset organises a variety of events throughout the year.
These events raise the profile of the projects we support, facilitate important networking opportunities and promote the resources and information we provide. These range from small, invite-only networking events to large public events such as the runners' day conference.
In addition to Skillset–run events, we are also involved in a variety of activities through sponsorship, exhibiting and speaking opportunities. Every year we support a range of events such as trade shows, exhibitions, careers events, award ceremonies and festivals.
