Skillset Launches Workforce Survey 2008
Skillset, the Sector Skills Council for Creative Media, today announced that the launch of the Skillset Workforce Survey for 2008. The industry's most comprehensive survey will take place throughout April and May and will cover both employees and freelancers working in the TV, Radio, Film, Interactive Media, Animation, Computer Games and Facilities industries.
The information collected will provide an invaluable insight into how the industry is performing in terms of training, qualifications and skills. It will provide a crucial opportunity for industry professionals to have their say on the future needs of their particular sector and also ensure that their own needs are met.
The information from this survey will be critical in helping:
- Evaluate the representation of women and minority groups in different sectors and occupations and their access to development opportunities;
- Identify common routes of entry and progression;
- Establish current and emerging skills development needs;
- Identifying problems with current training provision;
- Find out what factors are holding people back from developing and progressing in their careers.
The questionnaire includes sections on working patterns, skills, training needs and gives people the opportunity to highlight any issues with current training provision.

The closing date for the questionnaire is Friday 30th May 2008.
