Moon director Duncan Jones to address Think, Shoot, Distribute workshop at LFF
16 October 2009
Duncan Jones, director of the award-winning sci-fi thriller Moon, and his producer Stuart Fenegan, are set to share their experiences with 25 of the UK's most promising filmmakers as the opening speakers of next week's Think, Shoot, Distribute professional development programme as part of the London Film Festival.
Jones and Fenegan will head a roster of some of the British film industry's most prominent figures, including film developer Kate Leys (Four Weddings and A Funeral, Trainspotting and The Full Monty) and actor Kerry Fox (An Angel At My Table, Shallow Grave), in this week-long series of workshops and masterclasses that is being funded by Skillset, Film London and Adobe.
Skillset's director of film, Neil Peplow, said: "This programme presents these developing filmmakers with an outstanding opportunity to get a deeper insight into what it takes to get a feature film to market in today's industry. Duncan Jones - who himself is a graduate of one of Skillset's Screen Academies, the London Film School - is a great example of just where that process can take you."
Jones and Fenegan will be speaking at Think, Shoot, Distribute, which is being held at The Hospital, 24 Endell St, London, WC2H 9HQ, at 10am on Monday October 19.
