Marketing and Sales Standards Setting Body (MSSSB) has launched its new National Standards.
These standards have been tested nationally and internationally with all relevant stakeholders and cover all aspects of these professions and will:
- provide guidance to companies and agencies about the skills which their employees should possess in various roles at different levels
establish cross-recognition for those, for instance, in advertising who wish to gain a qualification in market research or vice versa
determine the structure for the validation of all marketing and sales educational courses which seek government funding.
The MSSSB was established by the Department for Education and Skills (DfES) in September 2001 in order to develop world-class benchmarks of best practice for the Marketing, Marketing Communications, Sales and Telesales occupational areas.
