National Occupational Standards for Design for the Moving Image
National Occupational Standards (Standards) provide a clear, up to date description of what an individual needs to be able do in order to perform a job successfully. They consist of a detailed breakdown of the tasks, knowledge and skills needed for effective performance within a job role, including any statutory or legal responsibilities. The Standards have been developed over a number of years by both people who work in the industry and experts from each occupational area through a process of investigation, analysis and consultation with a wide range of people.
It is only possible to download individual units for the Design for the Moving Image Standards. The units are listed below in production process order.
Please note that as of July 2006 the National Occupational Standards for Props no longer falls within Design of the Moving Image. Please refer to the new National Occupational Standards for Props, which superseeds those listed here.
Please note that the Animation units within this set of standards were updated in June 2005. Skillset is in the process of redeveloping National Occupational Standards for Animation.
