National Occupational Standards for Sound

Standards provide the most up to date description of the skills, knowledge and understanding necessary to perform the main roles and responsibilities for occupations within the creative media sector.

Developed by industry practitioners, employers and other key stakeholders, Standards show exactly what is required of professionals in the industry.

You may wish to download the complete suite or download individual units. The units are listed in production process order.

The Sound Standards cover occupations in the Film, Television and Radio sectors of the Creative Media Industries but further work is required to fully reflect occupations in the radio sector.
