How Lesley Oakden, Skillset Careers Advisor, uses Skillset's Standards
"I use the Standards within one-to-one careers advice sessions, as a means of clarifying job roles; to assist in giving job routes; to explain how jobs interlink, overlap and involve transferable skills; and to give an understanding of every aspect of a certain role. This is not within every session, but on those where someone needs to find out more about certain jobs & roles. For this I usually print out the relevant units.
I also point out the existence of the Standards (using the Skillset website) when I'm giving any talks, or delivering workshops"
