How University College Falmouth uses Skillset's Standards
One University which understands the benefits of the using National Occupational Standards to inform course provision is University College Falmouth who mapped their MA in TV Production to Skillset's National Occupational Standards.
As Chris Truran, Course Leader MA Television Production explained: "We want to provide the very best for students on Falmouth's MA in TV Production. Our media resource has industry standard equipment, the tutors are experienced media professionals, and the course was designed, and develops, in close consultation with industry advisers. As part of this process, we talked at length to Skillset, and used the Occupational Standards as one way of ensuring that our students would be provided with up-to-date professional and practical skills".
