Education and Training Partnerships
There is an extensive range of provision for our industries, especially in further and higher education.
Although there is evidence that industry's views on ‘media' education are shifting, there is still a strong view that what is on offer could be strengthened by better links to the industry.
In addition, there is more emphasis on upskilling and reskilling those in work because of demographic changes.
We see the creation of our Skillset Academy Network, accredited courses and approved providers as the beginning of our work to bring together industry and learning partnerships. Our aims are to:
- Support and reward excellence in higher learning provision
- Create more and more employable graduates
- Raise the skills and capacity for innovation and enterprise of those already in the workforce
