Engaging with education and training providers
Skillset has a strategic role in articulating the needs of the creative media industries to education and training providers, and to ensure quality and effectiveness in the supply of this provision.
Through research and consultation activities, we are able to determine what is needed in terms of skills development for the sector. We are then able to influence the design and development of new and existing qualifications for the sector, for all ages and across all levels.
We consult with Further and Higher Education and the informal learning sector at a national and regional level and develop new industry-education partnerships to ensure that the creative media industries have the right people, with the right skills, in the right place, at the right time.
Each sector of our industries is developing formal ways of informing and recognising centres or courses of excellence and targeting resources to develop industry-recognised provision.
