Careers information, advice and guidance
Skillset Careers is the specialist careers information, advice and guidance (IAG) service for the broadcast, film, video, interactive media and photo imaging industries. With industry and public funding, Skillset Careers works with trade unions, trade associations and industry employers to improve the quality of information and advice given in schools, further and higher education, and through public agencies. Careers advice is also provided direct to individuals.
Skillset's extensive research programme reveals the areas where employers are experiencing skills gaps and shortages. Through Skillset's careers work information is given to individuals on everything from CV writing to redundancy support enabling them to make better careers choices.
This means more sustainable employment for individuals, and will, over time, help to address industry skills gaps and shortages.
