The London Film School, A Skillset Screen Academy
The London Film School has trained some of the world's leading filmmakers over the last 50 years. But LFS, through all the many changes in filmmaking over those years, is still what it has always been: an intimate international community of hard working filmmakers. It is an educational charity, dedicated to spending all its revenues on film budgets and the quality of the training.
The School's mission is to provide an environment for good filmmaking, matching issues of craft and technology with the development of creativity and collaboration. The environment feeds on students' passion for uncompromising excellence in every aspect of filmmaking - and communicates it to others.
Students at the LFS are part of a working studio producing around 180 films per year. The core 2 year MA Filmmaking programme is a multi-department course, based on the conviction that postgraduate students benefit greatly from a professional working base in all technical departments and craft skills.
