Bag yourself up to £5,000 with the Turner Classic Movies short film competition
Movie channel TCM has launched their annual Classic Shorts film competition and would like to invite up-and-coming filmmakers to participate!
TCM is a 24-hour cable, digital and satellite movie channel with a distribution of over 10 million UK-wide. Once a year, TCM runs the Classic Shorts competition, which is one of the most prestigious and valuable short film competitions in Europe.
A great opportunity for film students to break into the industry and get noticed, Classic Shorts also offers £10,000 total prize money and is open to all UK made short films. As with previous years the competition awards ceremony is held during The Times bfi London Film Festival.
Deadline for entries is 1 August 2008.

The Film must have been completed between 01st September 2007 and 01st August 2008. The Film may have been shown at film festivals and at other small scale screenings. Entries must be submitted with a synopsis of the Film. The synopsis shall be no more than 100 words long.
TCM is at present the second highest rated movie channel in the UK, after Sky Movies 1 and airs on Sky, Telewest, NTL and TopUp TV. TCM draws on a unique and extensive library of 20th century movies, selecting Hollywood's finest quality films from the ‘golden age' to contemporary classics.
